How It Works

2 / 4

Before we get too deep, let's just quickly go over how the script works. Place a copy of the script in your George directory and start up Aura. Bring up the George panel and right-click on one of the slots. A panel will come up that allows you to load a new script in this slot. Click "Select" and navigate to your George directory and select the script xot_titles.grg. Finally make sure that "Rectangle mode" is selected and close the "Edit George Command" panel.

Now, you'll want to use the text tool to design the look of your titles. Select your font, colors, and effects. You can use whatever effects you want. The size doesn't matter at this point as you'll see in a moment, and rotating the text is not recommended as it can produce some undesired effects, but feel free to experiment.

Finally make sure you have an empty layer selected and also make sure that the xot_titles.grg script is selected in the George panel. The script should now be waiting for you the draw a rectangle. Draw a long horizontal rectangle near the bottom of the screen, about half an inch high and nearly the width of the screen. The script will now ask for a series of responses from you. For now, supply these answers: "0:Team Banzai", "Left", "No", "No", "Don't Save". In seconds you'll see a complete set of titles rendered on the timeline. Move down the timeline frame-by-frame to see all of the titles. Notice that they are rendered to the height of the rectangle you drew and they are justified along the left side of the rectangle as well. You could have just as easily justified your titles to the center or to the right side of the rectangle.

These particular titles won't do you much good in your productions, so we will now go about the task of modifying the script for your own titles.
