| Introduction |
Our goal in this tutorial is to provide a way for virtually an video application to load your RTV files. As most of you know, the RTV file format is not widely supported. The vast majority of video applications simply don't know what to do with RTV files. In the past you've had to export your projects as uncompressed AVI files which not only wastes space, it often doesn't even work when the AVI exceeds only 2 gigabytes, or less than two minutes of D1 video. With this tutorial I'll show you how to get around this limitation and before you know it you'll be force-feeding those recalcitrant video applications all the RTV files you want. Although users of the VT[1] have an AVI Wrapper system that duplicates the functionality of this tutorial it doesn't work with all software. More up-to-date versions of the VT system don't have an AVI Wrapper at all. For those people this tutorial should be very useful.
